zetatech FULL instructions


you have uncovered a mysterious computer operating system. it belonged to someone, known as the PREVIOUS USER, but you don't know who they were. 

your task is to enter this system, navigate through its programs and fragmented memory data, and attempt to decipher who this person was.

the instructions are as follows:

run through the initial program set-up.

activate SPIRITECH and access the DAEMON PORT. this installs three daemons which govern how the user interacts with programs and data within the system. essential programs and information within the system are found to the RIGHT of these three daemons.

the first daemon, daemon03, allows interface manipulation, and it contains tools, information, and programs. This daemon can be toggled on and off at any time by the daemon03 icon found in the bottom left.

daemon01 and daemon02 can be toggled on and off as well.

to complete // daemon03 necessary functions-

load AUTOTRAVELLER, and activate STANDINGSTONE. return to home by scrolling (dragging the screen) or by using the AUTOTRAVELLER hyperlinks.

it is advisable to use AXIS LOCK after travelling to HOME, so that data can be effectively navigated & accessed. while the system is used with AXIS LOCK, the display will eventually skew and distort. recalibrate this with AXIS LOCK.

Run the BLUEFLOWERSCOLLECTIVE program, found to the right of the first daemon. this installs a blueflowerscollective MULTITOOL that can be used to encrypt (DECODE), SHARPEN and CLEAN the display.

upon sharpening, the second daemon, daemon02, will activate.

daemon02 connects the user to the datastream, which contains all accessible data, as well as links to any live environments that the system is connected to.

daemon02 necessary functions-

activate RAINSCRIPT, which causes a visual cleanliness error that can be fixed by encrypting and re-sharpening with the MULTITOOL. it also loads FLOWERSCRIPT. run FLOWERSCRIPT to enable the identity mask, which is necessary to interact with different programs in the system.

daemon01 necessary functions- 

scroll left to ALTAR and activate MAGIC CIRCLE. the PREVIOUS USER has three datafragments in their DATABANK. there is GRAVEYARD, LAUZUN, and HORSEHEAD. placing datafragments in MAGIC CIRCLE allows their information to be accessed.

after these steps are completed, the system can be effectively accessed and navigated.

datafragments are important personal documents. they are wetware, which means they were once installed within the users own brain.

-the GRAVEYARD is usually the final resting place of the PREVIOUS USER. 

-LAUZUN appears to be a standard apartment chip.

HORSEHEAD is an unconventional chip. daemons cannot directly access or interact with this datafragment.

-

further executions

place HORSEHEAD in the MAGIC CIRCLE (FLOWERSCRIPT must be active). 

performing this installs the program LEY-LINE, which is a live environment that the PREVIOUS USER frequented.

load LEY-LINE. this opens the STATUETTE, which acts as the users access token. 

there are a number of characters within LEY-LINE. scroll through the gang territory until you reach their webring. Access TAVERNA. talk to the HENCHMAN. the HENCHMAN can direct you to GUNSMITH. his workshop is down the street. take a left at the salon des demons, and down an alleyway.

GUNSMITH tells you to drag the STATUETTE into the MAGIC CIRCLE to install a copy of BIGDREAM.

BIGDREAM contains a pure-hearted entity known as BIGDOG. open BIG DREAM and collect BIGDOG, which activates a CHIP SLOT and CHIP. place the CHIP in the CHIP SLOT, which stores BIGDOG, and place this CHIP into the GUNSMITH CHIP SLOT. he is able to install BIGDOG within the GRAVEYARD datafragment.

the STATUETTE can then be removed from MAGIC CIRCLE.

-

place the GRAVEYARD datafragment in the magic circle, and locate BIGDOG within the environment. BIGDOG activates a PURITY SLIDER which regenerates the deteriorated data. slide this PURITY SLIDER to 100%. when this occurs, a grave is uncovered. 

witnessing this gravesite installs GATEWAY. GATEWAY opens a link to Mound by blueflowerscollective, which installs an access module to MOUND in the daemon03 interface. MOUND is a cold-storage burial site, used by families to link generational data. 

entering MOUND will install an access module to the BLUE ROSE in the daemon03 interface.

The BLUE ROSE is an exclusive nightclub that can be seen on the horizon of ley-line. It is a rose-shaped skyscraper. for some reason, the PREVIOUS USER has a link to this place, and a stored memory of it. 

this is the conceivable end, and no more progress can be made.


known bugs and inconsistencies

-entering LAUZUN disables the pause / resume menu. other functions may disable the pause / resume menu. game must be closed with alt f4

-player can drag essential game components out of view and out of the selectable region, preventing them from continuing.

-gunsmith mentions the use of a cutter that is not explained and is not ever referenced.

-the henchman insists on helping the player access mound using gateway and pipeline. but the henchman does not have any further dialogue.

-using the apple in magic circle installs purify, which will break the visuals when used in combination with certain game features. the game is intended to be experienced in the pink / black visual style, with the exception of lauzun (green and black) and the blue rose.
